In 1999 I started my quest to hold camps and clinics in the Midwest that would have
the great mixture of affordability, experienced staff, competition, and a great
learning environment. In doing some research I found kids where only getting
some of those ideas in existing camps and clinics. If the camp had college instructors
they usually had to break their savings account to attend the clinic.
If the camp was low cost typically the instruction was of low quality. I am a firm believer that every young person who wants to try the game of lacrosse should have the opportunity to do so. This is why Big Shot Lacrosse has many times put on clinics in areas where no other college coaches would go. Since 1999 we have held several different kinds of events. The 7v7 Tournament Camp started in 1999 with 8 teams grew to 26 teams last year in the 4th annual tournament. The summer Team Challenge Camp will be entering its third year in 2004 and looking to build off of the 5 teams that competed in 2003. We have also run a one day youth clinic in Columbus every year that has been very successful. Several other positional clinics and coaches clinics have proven successful over the past 5 years. If you are interested in having a Big Shot Lacrosse clinic for your team or area do not hesitate to contact me and I would be glad to look into several different options with you.
